Can strata meetings be held by Zoom or video conference?
Yes. Every Australian jurisdiction now allows general meetings to be held by video or audio conference, or as a hybrid in-person/online meeting. The owners corporation can decide the format.
Voting can be by show of hands, secret ballot, or online polling tools depending on the format. The strata manager will usually run the technology and verify identity. Hybrid meetings get the best attendance — some owners join in person, others remotely.
