What's the difference between an ordinary and a special resolution?

An ordinary resolution passes by simple majority (more votes for than against). A special resolution needs 75% of votes cast in favour and is required for major decisions like by-law changes, structural alterations and some terminations.

A unanimous resolution requires every vote in favour with no votes against — it's reserved for the most fundamental decisions like winding up the scheme. Always check what type of resolution your motion needs before drafting it.
