Can I vote at a strata meeting by proxy?

Yes. If you can't attend, you can appoint another person (usually another owner) to vote on your behalf using a written proxy form. Most states limit how many proxies any one person can hold — commonly 5% or 1 per 20 lots.

Proxies must be lodged before the meeting starts. The proxy holder votes as the owner would have voted — many proxy forms let you direct how to vote on each motion. Proxy farming is regulated to prevent any single party from controlling outcomes.
