What strata law applies in Western Australia?

WA strata (called a strata company) is governed by the Strata Titles Act 1985, significantly amended in 2020. The regulator is Landgate. Disputes are heard at the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT).

WA's 2020 reforms were the biggest in 35 years — introducing leasehold strata, community title schemes, electronic voting and stronger termination rules. Older WA schemes operate under the pre-reform rules until they update their by-laws.
