What strata law applies in Tasmania?
Tasmanian strata is governed by the Strata Titles Act 1998. The regulator is Consumer, Building and Occupational Services. Disputes are heard in the Recorder of Titles' division and Magistrates Court.
Tasmania has a smaller strata market than mainland states and the legislative framework is correspondingly less complex. There's no dedicated strata tribunal — disputes typically resolve via internal processes, mediation and (rarely) court.
