Can a committee member be removed mid-term?

Yes. The owners corporation can remove a committee member at any general meeting by ordinary resolution. The committee itself can also remove the chair, secretary or treasurer from those office bearer roles.

Common reasons include non-attendance, breach of by-laws, unpaid levies that disqualify them, or loss of confidence by the broader ownership. Give the person notice and an opportunity to respond before the vote — natural justice still applies.
