Can owners park in visitor parking?

Generally no — visitor spaces are for genuine visitors, not residents. Most by-laws expressly prohibit owners and tenants from using visitor spots, and the strata manager can have offending vehicles ticketed or towed in some states.

If your scheme has chronic visitor-parking abuse, the fix is usually a combination of a clear by-law, signage, time-limited permits for genuine visitors, and consistent enforcement. Spot fines and towing should always be a last resort with proper warning notices.
